부처님의 무상 설법 - 죽음의 신을 피하는 방법

1124	저는 문제를 가지고, 지선(至善)을 통찰하신 분께 와서 여쭙습니다. 죽음의 신이 그를 찾지 못하게 하려면, 한 사람은 세계를 어떻게 대하여야 합니까,
1125	세존: 세상[생존]을 공무(空無)한 것으로 보시오. 마가라제여! 항상 깊이 사려하고, 자아적(自我的) 관점(觀點)을 제거하시오. 이렇게 하면 죽음의 신을 피해 갈 수가 있소. 죽음의 신은 이렇게 세상을 대하는 사람을 찾아 내지 못하오.

 

1124.“我帶著問題來問洞悉至善的人：一個人怎樣看待世界，

死神才不會找到他？”

1125.“視世界為空無，摩伽羅諸啊！永遠富有思想，

摒棄自我的觀點，這樣的能越過死神；

死神找不到這樣看待世界的人。”

 

3. To this man who sees what is good I have come supplicatingly

with a question: How is any one to look upon the world

that the king of death may not see him?” (1117)

4. “Look upon the world as void, O Mogharagan, being always

thoughtful; having destroyed the view of oneself (as really existing),

so one may overcome death; the king of death will not see him

who thus regards the world.” (1118)
