부처님은 가정을 포기하시고, 탐애(貪愛)을 잘라 버리시며, 산만함을 제거하시고, 선정에 머무르시며, 즐거움을 버리시고, 생사의 흐름을 건너, 해탈을 획득하시며, 시간을 벗어나시고, 묘한 지혜를 갖추신 분이다. 수타니파타 1107 你拋棄家庭，斬斷貪慾，擺脫慾望，摒棄快樂，越過水流，獲得解脫，脫離劫波，具有妙智 I entreat the wise (Buddha), the houseless, who cuts off desire,who is free from commotion, forsakes joy, has crossed the stream, is liberated, and who leaves time behind;
